Water Works Environmental Education Center

The Water Works Environmental Center is owned by the City of Palatka. It is staffed by a team of volunteers who manage the center, provide tours and other educational opportunities for students and the public.

Provide environmental education with a focus on water conservation and the St. Johns River; manage a 10-acre site with historic structures listed on the Register of Historic Places; provide trails and other opportunities to experience nature and observe wildlife; manage a longleaf pine restoration area with gopher tortoises, a community garden, and other features.
