Needs From: Putnam Volunteers

We depend on volunteers to assist with administrative duties and special project work. Those with clerical skills and interests can assist with filing, data entry, greeting visitors at our Centers for Caring locations. All volunteers must complete Community Hospice's volunteer onboarding and training.

Visit our adult and pediatric patients where they receive care. You may choose to spend quality time reading with them, taking walks, writing letters or simply enjoying conversations with them. Volunteers give family caregivers an opportunity to run personal errands or take some quality respite time away from their day-to-day duties. Patient visits usually last two hours or less. We provide specialized training. All volunteers must complete Community Hospice's volunteer onboarding and training.

Haven is in need of volunteers to visit patients in the home or in facilities in Palatka. Background check and TB test required.

Every year, Vikings will Fall into Service in November and Spring into Service in March. St. Johns River State College welcomes service project proposals from organizations and agencies operating within the College’s service district of Clay, Putnam, and St. Johns Counties. Such entities may include chambers of commerce; charitable organizations; civic organizations; cultural centers (libraries, museums, parks); educational organizations; faith-based organizations; healthcare organizations (hospitals, hospices, community health centers); and other service organizations. If your project is accepted for inclusion, SJR State will solicit volunteers to provide service hours on one of the Vikings Days of Service.

Volunteers are needed to visit hospice patients in Haven‘s Palatka Care Center 1-4 x per month. Background check, fingerprinting and references required. Please apply at:

You will be contacted when application is received. Must be 18 or older to visit patients.

Represent the Center at community outreach events. Set up, take down and man the table.

Responsible for data, NCBA, other duties

Manages the day to day opening hours. Tues-Friday.

Enter food stamps app, recerts, medicaid

Interview, make determination of assistance needed

Manage, cull and price donations

Help to prepare, serve, and clean up lunch services. 

Greet, answer phones, filing, copying etc

Everyone is invited to attend and are encouraged to attend, We will be going over our programs and we are always looking for new ideas
